Here’s the poster for the April 3rd show:

3.16.08
It’s been a while, but hopefully none of you avid readers got too bent out of shape. So a lot has gone down since the last post. Holidays, vacations, some hiking trips, a few fun shows with Maple Rabbit, oh and our CD EP 1 finally came out on Sweet Acronym Publications! Word up to that!

To celebrate we will be playing a dope show at Amnesia on April 3rd. Here’s the lineup:
Greg Ashley (from The Gris Gris)
   Alas, alak, Alaska!
   Toromiro
That Blasted Hound (with Davyd from Beat Beat Whisper)

Recording is finally finished, and now we’re just tinkering with some of the mix. I got a nasty muscle spasm in my neck and back that took me out of commission for a couple of days. Too much time hunched over and indoors I suppose.

The screen printing studio is up and running again, and I put together a poster for the upcoming show at the Hotel Utah. Should be a great show!

Here’s the flyer for the upcoming FREE show at the Red Victorian:

Still still recording. Just finished reading Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. Oh and I’m DJing tomorrow at the Li Po Lounge in Chinatown with Kenny aka Double Dare. I have been dubbed Eagle Cobra for all DJ-type endeavors.

7.13.07
Still recording. Slow going right now. Kennyfuncore AKA DJ Double Dare is spinning ridiculous songs tonight at the Missouri in Berkeley. I may be there as well to help out. We’re also going to be doing the DJ thing on July 28th at the Li Po Lounge in Chinatown. Oh and I’m playing a show August 3rd at the Red Victorian on Haight in San Francisco.

6.29.07
Summer is finally here for me, and next week the final round of recording will be happening for an upcoming EP. In the meantime people should read about Dick Cheney and look up videos dogs and cats that talk like people. It’s fun!

5.23.07
Last weekend I added a new dimension to Toromiro’s arsenal from Black Market Music. Now I’m just curious about whether there are other musicians that finger pick with a Flying V. I’ve already had my neighbors bang on the roof twice while I was practicing with it, so I suppose it’s working well.

5.10.07
Broke my collarbone! Yet another cycling accident, this time while fleeing from a pack of fans in lycra in Santa Rosa. So no bikes, guitar swinging, jumping jacks, two-fisted hand pumps, or things of that sort. This comes in the midst of planning a show with Philadelphia friends Ted Passon and Maple Rabbit. Ted will be screening some of his short films and Maple Rabbit will perform at the Epic Arts space on Sunday May 20th. We’re still working on putting together a second show for Monday May 21st. Email me if you have any info about possibly hosting this event.

Upcoming shows:

Tuesday 5/29 @ The Hemlock - San Francisco
-with Real Live Tigers and Tinyfolk
-*** Click HERE for show flyer***

Friday 8/3 @ The Red Victorian - San Francisco
-with Samantha Lien, Jeremy Hill, and Adam Balbo

Two more rough samples are now posted on this website and on myspace. Feel free to download them if you want, but we appreciate it if you could let us know you’re taking the songs. Also, we’re still looking for a relatively experienced multi-instrumentalist to help play some shows.

3.15.07
New sample track posted. Finally. Two or three more to come. We are also looking for an interested instrumentalist and hope to be playing shows by the end of spring! Email if you’re interested.

About a month ago little kid ran out into the street from between some parked cars and smacked right into my front wheel.  Either the collision or me slamming on the breaks sent me flipping over the handlebars to land on my elbow and back.  I laid on the ground for a minute out of shock and lack of air in my lungs and I could hear the kid screaming.  After I got up I went to the kid to see that he was fine except for a bloodless scrape on his knee.  I then proceeded to yell at him and his friends (no parents around, of course) for being so stupid and lucky that I wasn't a car.  My arm stopped working about an hour later and I decided to go get it checked out.  Three hours later thanks to some shitty x-rays the doctor couldn't see anything broken and so that was it.  He gave me some Vicodin (my second prescription this year--a personal record) and said good luck.  The problem is that it still hurts like hell; I can move my arm a bit but I can't put any pressure on it at all.

The real tragedy was that I had a six pack of beer in my bag that shattered from the impact.  It poured out of my bag as I scraped myself off of the ground to check on the kid, so I'm sure everybody around thought I was a drunk bastard.

Muppet movie marathon was somewhat of a success. I’m in the process of figuring out how to play ‘Rainbow Connection.’ Sunny early then foggy later. Played lots of music in the. No real news, I suppose.

8.21.2006
I got three plants today. One is called The Survivor. I also saw that today was the day that Hawaii became a state in 1959. I wonder if that is considered good news or bad by Hawaiians.

8.18.2006
Today is supposed to be the last day of recording for the summer, but I am not finished. No surprise, I suppose. The good news is that I was able to get the hardware issue addressed quickly. Thanks Edirol.

8.6.2006
So today is the day, I think, that the website begins. Other than this I’m just slowing working on the new batch of recording (hampered at the moment by some faulty hardware). Oh and I’m nursing a sunburnt forehead.
